Today I got a new friend installed in my chest. It's a "power-port" which makes it WAY easier to install things like Chemo-therapy into my body.
This had to be the easiest surgery ever. I got in the OR at 7:30 and I was ready to leave at around 8:50, but they didn't let me go until about 11:20 which meant I had to watch the first 5:00 of the Sun Bowl on a 19" screen TV. (Don't worry, I watched it again at home on the 42" at home)
God has really floored me with the number of people who have said they are praying for us! God is good and continues to bless us. Maybe now I realize some of the reason He said "no" to us moving to LaGrande last year.
We have a good job, good family support, good friends, and are looking for a good church family, which I'm sure He will provide.
Today I'm feeling as strong and "normal" as a man can feel with a port-a-cath in his chest.
2009 is a welcome change!
